Dwell Mobile Celebrates #GivingTuesday by joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on December 2, 2025.

This GivingTuesday, Dwell will inspire generosity by continuing to cultivate opportunities for resettled refugees and neighbors in the local Mobile community. Mobile is home to a diverse and growing immigrant community. As the city's only post-resettlement organization, Dwell is committed to providing practical and vital resources, supporting families in their new lives by developing meaningful relationships, and helping them create better futures here in Mobile.

In 2025, Dwell provided over 4,500 services to more than 300 clients. Services included:

• Social adjustment - helping with the first steps of resettlement, like turning on the lights in an apartment, paying bills for the first time, or earning a driver’s license.

• Employment services - paving the way for stronger futures and financial independence through career coaching, resume building, interview prep, and connections to local employers.

• English language learning - unlocking connection through language with free English classes and free childcare for a focused learning environment.

• School impact - support for school enrollment, uniforms, language learning, and parent-teacher advocacy, because success for a child strengthens the whole family.

• Health promotion - knowledge and services for families to thrive in a new life through healthcare navigation, literacy workshops, wellness fairs, and vaccination clinics.

  With a year-end goal of $40,000, Dwell can continue to build relationships that leave a lasting impact, empower our clients towards self-sufficiency, and provide services that help
  turn hope into home.
